Rural.
A change is in the air
Snow is leaving the meadow
I love this time of year
Warm sun on distant shadow
New shoots bursting forth
The rivers may become swollen
White tips fly in from the north
Knowing winter has been stolen
Spring bursts onto the scene
Berating winters reminisce
Dying forty shades of green
Daffodils laugh at this
A time of tilling the land
Gentle shires, massive girth
The bleating of newborn lambs
Horse drawn over mother earth
Oh to be in the countryside
At this or any time of year
It’s where my heart doth hide
Amongst the blossoms of yesteryear
