Cant Go Back.
The six o nine from rolleston
Is waiting on the line
We nearly had an overrun
The drivers been on the wine
The station masters jinking
Up and down the track
Ime sat here a thinking
I aint going back

There’s to much heartache
To much pain
You can’t make me
Go through that again

My bodies shot like lace
I can see the carriage door
The porters smiling face
As he waltzes across the floor
All the busy nations
As they go about their way
Strangers in a station
What more can I say

There’s to much heartache
To much pain
You can’t make me
Go through that again

Another train leaves the platform
Rolling out of site
Seems I’ve sat here since I was born
Just a temporary respite
I’me so heavy going nowhere
Thinking of the past
When and if I get there
I wouldn’t be the last

There’s to much heartache
To much pain
You can’t make me
Go through that again
