Night Girl.
She stands
Where no Street light shines
Slow mo cars know she’s there
Another trick to pay the fines
Another sordid love affair
Working underground
On the merry-go-round

She is
Youth lost on white lines
Hush dont make a sound
We all pass by the signs
With our egos bound
Flesh sold by the pound
On the merry-go-round

She thinks
Back, of stolen years
The playground of her dreams
Holding back the silent tears
For the task it seems
Virtuosity uncrowned
On the merry-go-round

She sinks
Deeper into the mire
Her spirit weakened by intent
Hell is waiting by the fire
With good intentions meant
Life is upside down
On the merry-go-round

She dies
With no one there
Needing a friend
Needing someone to care
Alone at the end
No one around
On the merry-go-round

She’s gone
In the springtime of life
Hooked and lost
Beneath the dealers knife
Double crossed
Heavens unsound
On the merry-go-round
