Drifting Apart.
Many a field is littered
With full or broken dreams
To many minds embittered
Have made it what it seems
Angered words once used
Cannot be gathered again
Love scorned and bruised
Will not unfetter chains
Such romance has to end
Is painful without words
Two to proud to unbend
Would soon fall on swords
Hearts once held such love
Strangers now they seem
Indifference has risen above
A once held cherished dream
Adrift through windswept seas
Unknowing what future holds
Aspire to part not as enemies
Though the dreams are sold
Parting has left a mark now
Its done all there is to do
An invisible scar says how
Love fell apart near you
