When you return to me
You know I will be waiting
For a love as strong as this
Has been to long in the making

This heart was heavy laden
Heavy yet with grace
Soon to be fulfilled
By the smile on your face

So hold me closely now
In your arms I’ll stay
Our love is strong so strong
Enough to lead the way

We will make it there
To that promised land
In the bosom of hard love
Together hand in hand

So let us walk quietly
Joined now as one
Forever love forever peace
Never ending as the sun
