Teddy Bears
Five teddy bears went for a walk
On a bright and sunny day
They took a hamper with plenty of food
To help them on their way
Across the fields they walked
Down to the woodland damn
Other teddies were having a picnic
Playing catch me if you can
They sat on a big red coat
Down by the little stream
Ate cakes and drank lemonade
Until bursting at the seams
Played hopscotch one by one
Over the stepping stones
Until one teddy fell in and said
I am wet right to my bones
They dried him off as best they could
Then carried him back home
Put him to bed with a hot water bottle
A cup of tea and a scone
Next day he was jumping about
Saying I am as right as rain
Tomorrow if it’s a sunny day
Can we go for a walk again
