Woodland Friends.Freddie The Frog.
Freddie frog in the pond
Has gone and caught the flue
And all the other frogs
Don’t know what to do

One of them has hopped
Along down the road
To get some advice
From Wendy the wise old toad

Robin redbreast was shouting
Some one fetch a nurse
Is this flue thing catching
Can it get any worse

Calm down and be quiet
Said resident magpie Milly
We need to think about this
Not jump about being silly

Put him straight to bed
Says hooty owl in the tree
Plenty of nice blankets
And a warm cup of tea

Norman newt and his brother
Have gone down to the shop
They passed the frog who went before
Going hoppity hoppity hop

Wise old toad says keep him warm
Said froggy as he passed
Plenty of water to drink
And new shoots of green grass

Percy pigeon and his mates
Didn’t want to catch the flue
So they packed their bags and left
Flying away two by two

Now Betty badger stammered
That’s not very nice
We’re supposed to help each other
You know like sugar and spice

I could gobble him up
Said Sid the stripey snake
Then no one will catch the flue
Ah, but I might get tummy ache

We have to make him better
Said Winny the nifty weasel
I hope we all don’t get it
Like we did the measles

Sally stoat was next to speak
Don’t worry about a thing
Norman newts gone to the shop
He knows what to bring

Felix fox was bored
As he looked at Ronnie rabbit
Feeling rather peckish
As he smiled out of habit

So rabbit hopped away
The other side of the pond
He didn’t like the way
Felix was looking too fond

We have to work together
Betty blackbird said
Now calm down Mr Fox
And have some toasted bread

I’ll make the tea and toast
Sally stoat spoke out
Can we have two slices please
All the frogs did shout

I want jam on mine squeaked
Cyril the cheeky squirrel
You’ll have to spread it your self
Said sally filling the kettle

Then hooty owl shouted out
I can see newt down the track
He says he’s got some medicine
Its in a bag on his back

So they gave Freddie the medicine
Green grass shoots and tea
Blankets to keep him warm
Badger read him a bedtime story

In two days he was well again
Jumping around the wood
In and out the pond
Saying I feel really good

So all the frogs in the pond
Decided to write a letter
Thanking the wise old toad
For making Freddie better

They swam round the pond in circles
Shouting out with glee
Freddie the frog is mending
Fiddle de diddle de Dee

All of the woodland animals
Were glad Freddie’s flue had gone
So they skipped off into the forest
To go and play in the sun
