The Mole Family.
Rumbling underground
Eating worms and things
The mole family that’s us
We are the underground kings
We tunnel all the time
Feeling our way around
Never live on top of the soil
Always under the ground
Because it’s always dark
We don’t need to have eyes
Smelling and feeling our way about
Under the starry skies
We don’t need umbrellas
Because we never get wet
When you walk around your garden
We’re underneath your feet
When we dig our tunnels
We have to put the earth somewhere
It makes a mess we know
But there’s no room for it down here
So if you see our molehills
Dotted across your lawn so green
We’re very sorry about the mess
But we have to keep our tunnels clean
So if you catch one of us
Please don’t treat us badly
Put us in a field somewhere
And we’ll go away quiet gladly
Rumbling underground
Eating worms and things
The mole family that’s us
We are the underground kings
