I saw the lights fail
Along some lonesome trail

It knocked me off my feet

I was holding on so strong
Life seemed like an eternity
Days and nights so long
Sleep comes so bitterly

You invade my thoughts
Like a ship on an ocean wave
Tossed around and caught
Looking to be saved

My strength is holding, failing
I see the turning key
Only want to be sailing
On a calmer sea

On those lonely nights
Lost until the daylight
