Over Now.
There are no regrets
How they first met
The time they spent together
It’s behind them now
That feeling somehow
Maybe it’s a break in the weather

Time changes
The truth rearranges
Like a white feather

They held hands
Exchanged gold bands
Nothing love could falter
Then one cold day
Love went away
Virtue promised at the alter

Time changes
The truth rearranges
Like the rub of the Salter

A promise be faithful
Lost in a faded hotel
An old rekindled affair
A cruise with a friend
Was the start of the end
More than true love could bare

Time changes
The truth rearranges
Like two cannot play solitaire

The time came home
Pledging nothing to atone
It was all platonic for sure
But roundabout
The truth came out
To late to reassure

Time changes
The truth rearranges
Like drifting to far from shore
